10月24日 Where'd the Jelly go?Well...it's been awhile, yes? First off, my apologies to those who were waiting for a reply back or comment from me - or for those who emailed the Code It email. In short, I've been sick - remember when I went to the cottage and to the lake back in July for a week and I got an ear infection? Well, it turns out that after taking that harsh antibiotic for a week (which crippled me with stomach pains) it actually didn't totally go away. It flared up again early September. This time though, I tried ignoring it and it eventually made me really sick. It was like a cold - only 10 times worse. I had a nasty cough for like 3 weeks and constant pain in my ear. Yes I went back to the docs - and got some funky ear drops...STILL taking the ear drops, but I'm almost done (28 days of these drops) but I can still feel the pain in my ear at times. That being said, I did not compete in the contest this weekend. Adam did though and he did VERY well. Of all the men that competed in his classes, he was undoubtedly in the best condition. He only placed 4th in the LightHeavy Weight class, but we all thought that was because the judges had already placed him as first in the Masters and wanted to distribute the trophies sort of evenly so that more would qualify for the next levels. The LightHeavy class was only level one - so like beginner level. The Masters class was level two - so a step up for sure. Did I mention that he WON the Masters Class? LOL. So he qualifies for I think the Ontario Show in June. Which is just awesome. I can't express how proud I am of him. He so deserved it!! And really I'm not being biased here, I can honestly say that he deserved it. I still think he should have - at the very least - placed 3rd in the Level One LightHeavy class, regardless if they wanted to give out the trophies evenly so more would qualify for the next show. I understand that it's good for the business if there are more contestants, and more that advance to the higher levels...but he still had better conditioning than the guy that placed 3rd.
I'm sorry to say that those are the only pics I got. During the show I took like 60 or 80 shots - there was also a friend of ours from the gym competing for the first time too, so I was taking shots like mad. I also made video clips of their routines and the pose down and when they annouced Adam as the winner and shocked look on his face...hehe...but then when I stopped recording the video - and try to switch it back to take pics - so I could get a few shots of the top 3 with their trophies - the camera froze - it gliched! I lost everything. The memory card went blank. WTF? So we're going to buy the DVD of the show - that'll be the pre-judging and both the level one and level 2 night shows with all the routines. I'm just pissed that I lost all the pics. I swear I was ready to throw the camera across the room! GRRRRRR! So alright, what else is new with me? Well, at the end of Nov I start work...I decided to scrap the school idea - I just want to work, and I'm so unsure of what else to take if I go back to school. So I can't wait to get back to work. It was funny cuz I had started applying - just online and stuff - I thought for sure I would be looking for work for like a month or two, but less than an hour after sending in my resume, I get a call for an interview the next day. I also had to do some testing and stuff while there, and was practically handed the job on a silver platter...woot woot. Technically there is one other interview right before I start the position, but its human resources type stuff and I'd really only be denied the job at that point if I show up an hour late reeking of booze, stumbling with hangover symptoms, while yelling rudely and trying to hold in any stomach upheaval. Of course - that isn't gonna happen. So during my ear infection, I actually stayed offline - to family and friends: I'm sorry if I worried you. I literally had no energy or desire to sit in front of my computer for any longer than a few minutes at a time. I did however, check in on AmberBunny to make sure she was ok - as Austin was not so far from the hurricane Rita scare. I know it wasn't within any reasonable distance as to warrent any real drama or scare...but I had to make sure she was ok - I was glad to hear that she was fine - they only had some high winds and rains and that they had friends coming up from houston to stay with them during the evac. What a nice little bunny she is. LOL Oh and guess what? I was apparently nominated for the Beautiful Ladies of MSN Spaces - um, I didn't win though. LOL - but it was very cute. And now I must start the unending task of trying to catch up with all those that I've neglected over the past month. Until later, Cheers, ~Jelly~ 评论 (3)
