so I need some volunteers to test the Code It! program. 

 

The scroll bar feature of the program is completed - sort of.  LOL  I must say that it is a nice feature and enables you to create whatever type of scroll bar you want.  The trouble I'm having is when a user decides to bold or italic the font within the scroll bar. It works the first few times...adding the right tags or removing them if the user wants...so you can go back and forth several times with no errors.  The trouble happens - and really its no biggie cuz you can manually delete the the improper code - but its annoying to me - if you decide No bold...then Yes bold...then No again...then Yes again the bold tag <B> will appear twice in the code with only one closing bold tag: </B>.   GRRR.  I'm pretty sure that when pasted into your HTML version of your blog it will correct itself and close the extra bold tag if not deleting it.  But that has to be tested further.

 

There is a simple way to fix it...but because I created it on the spur, and have just been adding to it as I go along...or as others test it...the simple fix becomes complicated when the code has not been planned from the beginning.  So it's about creating a work around - and I'm getting to it, don't worry.  HAHA

 

Because I built it, I feel that I'm not doing the proper type of testing...it needs to respond to other users and such.

 

The GUI for the scroll bar screen is more advanced than the screens for pics, vids, or music...so it may be more complicated to use - especially since the help files have not been implemented yet.

 

The bonus with the scroll bar screen is that you have the option to SAVE, OPEN, SAVE AS, or create a new text file to hold the code...so you are able to switch between screens to grab the code for pics, vids, or music - without losing the code for the scroll bar you just created - then return to the scroll bar screen - open the file you saved and add the code in.

 

If there is any one that wants to test the program...I'd love for you to try and I'm certainly open to any other ideas.  Also...being extremely lazy and busy at the same time...I'd love it if any testers out there would like to help write the help files.

 

More info will be given to those interested in helping...of course, if you test, write the help files, or add anything to the program itself...your name will be added to the list of creators and/or authors.

 

For those that have recently asked about How To Add Music and such...you may download the Simple version of Code It! 2.5.0 - to get the code needed to add to your blog (when in HTML mode only!).

Of course remember that you need to store your files online and I do have a list of sites that offer space free to store these files - these sites will give you the address of your file you just uploaded...that's what you need, the ADDRESS of where the file is.

 

I apologize to those that asked questions and I haven't replied to yet...I'll get there!  haha.  Also know that if you ask questions about how to do something in HTML or questions about my diet or contest...or any thing else...but have your space set to private and leave no contact info - I will be unable to respond to you.
